What Happens After Your Headshot Session

You’ve just completed a coached, confidence-boosting session. So, what’s next? Here’s how I keep everything simple, streamlined, and focused on delivering the polished, natural results you’re looking for—while respecting your time at every step.

1) Final Steps Before You Leave the Studio

Before you head out, I’ll walk you through two key things:

• Payment: I’ll help you settle your remaining session balance, as well as payment for the images you’ve decided to purchase.
• Editing Preferences: Now’s your chance to mention any specific retouching requests—like “tame flyaways,” “soften under-eyes,” “minimize temporary blemishes,” or “whiten teeth by two shades, not ultra-bright.” The more specific you are, the better your images will match what you want.

When you leave the studio, you’ll know exactly which images you’ve selected and precisely what I’ll be refining post-session.

2) Secure Image Handling

Once you’ve made your selections, I only keep the images you’ve purchased. All unselected images are permanently deleted—protecting your privacy and ensuring your gallery contains only your best, most confident images.

On occasion, I may select one or two images for my portfolio. If I do, you’ll receive those fully edited with your chosen images.

3) Professional Retouching, Authentic Results

I start editing immediately after your session. My retouching approach is clean and modern—presenting you at your most confident and approachable.  Typical retouching includes:

• Smoothing temporary blemishes and flyaways
• Evening out skin tone and softening under-eyes
• Gentle eye brightening and natural teeth whitening
• Background polish for a consistent, on-brand presentation

I hold everything I deliver to high standards of clarity, consistency, and care—so your headshots always look like you, at your best.

4) Fast Turnaround

You’ll receive your finished images within 7 business days (Monday to Friday) after your session. If you have a tight deadline—a press release, an updated bio, or an audition—please let me know as you’re finalizing your order, as rush services are available. 

5) Seamless Image Delivery

When your retouched images are ready, I’ll send a secure online gallery link to your email. From there, you can:

• Download your files in both web and full size digital
• Share your gallery with your team, agent, or designer
• Request any additional re-edits directly from your gallery

Can I request additional edits after final delivery?

Definitely!  You can request additional edits from your gallery at any time.

Can I buy more images later?

Unfortunately not. All unpurchased images are deleted at the end of your session, so it's important to be certain to select all your favorite images at the end of the session.

What if I need my image urgently?

Let me know during checkout. The rush editing service, purchased on a per image basis, guarantees a 24hour turnaround.

What does “natural retouching” mean?

It means your results look polished but never artificial. I minimize distractions but protect real skin textures and authentic expression—delivering the same clean, modern headshot look you see in all my client portfolios.
